Years ago, I was convinced by a friend to play a game where you build a rocket. I didn’t think much of Factorio, and I didn’t expect to ever dedicate 100 hours to it, let alone 1000.

I just finished Season 3 of War of the Worlds (2019), and I wish I had stopped at Season 2.

In the waning light of 2025, December 31st, I finished Split Fiction. It stole the easily won “Phill’s Game of the Year” award.

This year, I set myself a goal to try and double(ish) the amount of books I read, aiming for a total of 24 books which is 10 more than last year. I thought it would be nice to share with you what books stood out, and which books might be worth skipping.

The 2013 Film ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ is visually astounding, and you should watch it!
